The Adjusted reading properly aligns with my weather stations barometer. Like others, I see where the actual sensor data can change when my phone is sitting on a flat surface in a closed room. However, that behavior is not limited to just this app, as there are other Barometer apps being released now for the iPhone 6 that show the same thing. It instead appears to be a function of the barometer sensor itself.
I like this app. It looks nice, but its a little inaccurate. The reading I keep getting over the last couple of days is quite a bit lower than all of the stations and sensors around me. I even used the adjustment option. Still reads low. Maybe its the phone itself(iPhone 6).
I was good before the update but now its outstanding! Apple did a great job with the hardware and this software utilities it amazingly. Im very satisfied.
Great app!
Somewhat disappointed. Not accurate..close but should be spot on while using gps altitude for reference. Should show pressure trend vs feet... The concept of a barometer is to view trend data weather:) its in inchs of mercury or hecto-pascals etc... Not feet/ meters.
So many unit options. Such barometer.
It works! Very cool app now with sea level pressure. Could change the way we forecast the weather!
With one setting in the app, it automatically adjusts for my current elevation. This yields barometric pressure corrected to sea level. My iPhone 6+ reading is in close agreement with nearby NOAA reporting stations. That level of accuracy makes it a useful tool! Feature requests: pressure trend, history graph.
Is within 0.3mbars of my Kestrel 4500. Next week I will put it side-by-side with the national weather service station barometer and will update this review. Would recommend getting rid of three decimal places, you only need 0.1 (if that) to display. Besides no scientist will report that 3 decimal places. The display jumps around too much with 1/1000 of a mbar. I would put a millibar unit in there too. I know the other unit is the same but us cyclones chasers, JTWC, & NHC (official US agencies) use millibars. Other than those comestic changes, its a great app. Lets see how the barometer stacks up against a known standard. Will find out in a few days
Gives very accurate measurements of pressure from my iPhone 6s new barometer! With this update the app also has new units (inches of mercury), sea level adjusted pressure, and it remembers my preferences between launches.
This is an excellent utility to compare other barometric pressure sensors but it would be nice if you could manually set the altitude (if needed). The GPS altitude is close but I have had some trouble with it locking onto my exact location which is very important when comparing barometers. Otherwise its a great utility.
I would have given it 5 stars but... I paid for the app and now it wants more money to put it in the Notification Center. Which is why I bought it in the first place. Make it free and Ill give it 5 stars.
I love my 6 PLUS and it works great!!!!
Well made app. Clean user interface. One suggestion, I purchased the notification upgrade expecting to be able to see my current elevation at a glance as well as atmospheric pressure. Add elevation as well to notification widget please to make this an excellent app!
A barometer is a valuable tool to tell about upcoming weather changes. Is it rising or is it falling? This app would be good if it showed a trend, a history, of what had been happening so that future weather could be predicted. A number, by itself, doesnt mean much.
Even though I have a iPad air2 & listed as compatible- it will not download or install? App support just goes to webpage that lauds their accomplishments but no Q&A or support area. Im not impressed.
This app. works well, in conjunction with ballistic apps.
does not load
The app for iPhone 6 works wonderfully well, though curiously, I cant install it on a listed compatible device; the iPad Air 2.
